Finding Common Ground

30-60 minutes

As an educator, Alyson has worked with both kids and adults. She offers presentations for all audiences on how to create a safe space for students of all ages to have an honest dialogue about difference and dis/ability. She shares ways to motivate and inspire students to write about personal challenges and how to use their own experience to develop empathy for others.

Virtual Visits

Alyson is happy to Skype with classes for 30 minutes for free, if they have purchased a set of books.

AV and Tech Needs for In-Person Visits

Alyson will bring her presentation on a flash drive. She’ll need a laptop and a projector screen to display her embarrassing childhood photos, among other visuals. She’ll also need a microphone for groups larger than 50.
