A mysterious old mansion, a strange locked door with four keyholes, and three adventurous, courageous and curious kids who are determined to solve the mystery of Ulysses Moore, who once owned that house—what more could you ask for?
Jason is a dreamer, and he feels the magic of the house the moment he walks in, and soon he’s convinced that someone is haunting the house, perhaps even Ulysses Moore himself, the rich, eccentric, reclusive man who lived there for over forty years, and who specified that only families with at least two children be allowed to lease it after his death. He also specified that many of the furnishings, especially a large statue, could not be changed or moved.
Does someone want them to discover what lies beyond the door? Could Jason be right—could Ulysses Moore still be alive and leading them into mysteries they can’t imagine? Or is it something even more sinister?
