• Interview a puppet character: Children can ask the puppet anything they like--even silly questions! They might ask: Where do you live? Who lives with you? What do you like to do? What surprises you?
  • Wear imaginary hats. Invite children to pantomime to music what they would do with different types of hats. Far example, ask them to demonstrate what they would do with an elf's hat, a party hat, or a crown. Change the type of imaginary prop and see what new characterizations children come up with!
  • Create a silly character. Invite children to make up a silly name and to create a character to go with the name. Later, encourage them to invent a story or play with their new character as the star!
