MY KIND OF SNAKE (Language Arts—Writing)

Give children a list of categories, for example: the greatest snake, the strangest snake, the scariest snake, the best-looking snake, and the meanest snake. Have children choose one of these categories and a snake from the book that they think fits their category. Encourage children to write or dictate one or two sentences telling why they chose this snake. Allow children to share their ideas with each other by reading their sentences aloud.
