Get nerdy and host a Pi Day celebration! First, talk about what pi is: an irrational number (its decimal seems to repeat infinitely) that measures the circumference of any circle divided by its diameter (i.e., the distance around a circle is about three times the distance across). Then, have kids display some of the many digits of pi by stringing together beads on pipe cleaners to make bracelets and key chains. Each color represents a different digit, so the completed project is a visual representation of pi!
