NBC News Weekend TODAY has identified schools in the Gulf Coast that are in great need of books for their libraries. Your money will help purchase special library-bound books from the librarians’ wish lists. These books will not only replenish lost collections but will also revitalize libraries and communities. See a guide to what your money will buy.

Below is a sample of some of Scholastic Library Publishing’s titles that will be included in the larger collections.

	Children’s Books From the best-selling Good Boy, Fergus! to the award-winning Harlem, these are the books that elementary schoolers love and remember for years to come. Grades: PreK–3 Harry Potter This complete set of library-bound books from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series is a must have for any school library collection. Grades: 5 and up Young Adult Literature From Blue Balliet’s Chasing Vermeer to Kevin Brooks’ Road of the Dead, young-adult fiction will keep older students excited and passionate about reading. Grades: 7 and up Scholastic Classics A classic collection that every library should own, each book in the set is introduced by a well-known, contemporary author and includes a thought-provoking reading guide for students.
