Scholastic Media’s popular twosome is back for a summer season filled with sports and fitness fun! This July, join the Santos twins – Maya and Miguel™ – for “Sport-tacular” events, including a full week of sports-themed episodes on PBS KIDS GO!sm and online interactive games at
pbskidsgo.org/mayaandmiguel. In addition, the twins will model healthy activity and involvement in sports through a grassroots effort in collaboration with Major League Soccer’s Futbolito initiative, their community-based soccer tournament program.
MAYA & MIGUEL’S “SPORT-TACULAR” SPECIAL ON PBS KIDS GO!
Beginning on July 10, viewers can tune-in for a full week of favorite Maya & Miguel sports-themed episodes on PBS KIDS GO! (check local listings). The “Sport-tacular” week includes the episodes “Soccer Mom” (Monday, July 10), “Team Santos” (Tuesday, July 11), “The Slump” (Wednesday, July 12), “The Wrestler Next Door” (Thursday, July 13) and “When Maya Met Andy” (Friday, July 14).

Sports fans can visit Maya & Miguel’s “Sport-tacular” website at
pbskidsgo.org/mayaandmiguel for more sports fun including an interactive soccer game and printable trading cards where kids get to choose their own character, background and soccer stats. Additionally the site will offer soccer fans the schedule for the MLS’ Futbolito tournaments.
THE MLS MAYA & MIGUEL “SPORT-TACULAR” CHALLENGE
Through an association with Major League Soccer’s Futbolito program, Maya & Miguel are once again bringing the MLS Maya & Miguel “Sport-tacular” Challenge to neighborhood matches across the country from May through September, giving teams the chance to compete for cool Maya & Miguel prizes! Tournaments will be held in cities across the country, including:

Maya & Miguel made a stellar debut in fall 2004, quickly becoming the # 1 new show on PBS KIDS GO! and establishing an immediate and powerful connection with its audience.
