Math Printable: Solve B (for Baseball)

Apr 14, 2015

With the MLB's Opening Day and season underway, it's a great time to bring the love of baseball into learning.  Here is a fun connect-the-dots printable to focus not only on practicing math facts but the concept of algebra, as well.  When students can solve problems algebraically, even as young as first grade, it demonstrates a deeper understanding of numbers.

In each problem, have your children solve for “b” (for baseball) then connect the dots to discover the picture.  Encourage your kids to make their own connect-the-dots pictures, too.  They can develop the problems and you can help them make the design.  They can bring it into school and share it with their classmates.  It's a great way to build number sense while keeping math fun!
