Last week, Dante showed you all the great ways the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps is reporting on this year’s Earth Day. And today it’s here! Happy Earth Day 2013! According to earthday.org, more than a billion people in 192 countries are celebrating today, 43 years after it was first marked in 1970. Earth Day seems to be something that appeals strongly to kids, and offers simple, actionable ways they can help. And Scholastic can help too, of course. For teachers: Check out the Earth Day collection on the Teacher channel and find “everything you need” right here For parents: These 6 Ways to Celebrate Earth Day can get your whole family involved For kids: The Stacks has some super-fun kid-friendly activities, like these and these! For readers: Here are 8 books for Earth Day (and beyond!) We’d love to hear how you’re marking the day in your classrooms and homes. Let us know in the comments!
