Emily Morrow from our Trade Marketing team is both a sports fan and a big reader. So she’s here to talk about the literary version of March Madness we’re running over on this is teen’s Facebook page! Have you filled out your bracket yet? NCAA March Madness is in full swing, and though many of us here at Scholastic are basketball fans (go Gators!*), we are first and foremost book lovers. So, for all our kindred spirits out there, we decided to make a bracket any book lover could get behind: a literary one. Hosted on this is teen, Scholastic’s online community for teen readers, this bracket pits character against character in an epic battle for the ultimate title: The 2013 Best Literary Character of All Time. The best part? YOUR votes determine who wins! Anyone who Likes this is teen on Facebook or follows us on Twitter (@this_is_teen) or Tumblr can participate. Fans have 24 hours to vote for the character they think should win each bout by commenting or tweeting. Round One is wrapping up this week, but the tournament will run through April 9. Check out the original bracket here! Fill it out and see how your favorite character fares against the masses. Who do you think will make it to the final four? Let us know in the comments, and go vote on this is teen! * Gators is my personal choice; but try getting my colleague in the next office to agree with that!
