1. Florida Keys Overseas Highway

South of Miami, FL

Travel 127.5 miles over the islands of the Keys. Snorkel or swim with dolphins along the way as you head to the last isle, Key West.

2. Arches and Canyons

Southern Utah

Driving these roads is like passing through a geological wonderland of sandstone arches, spires, fins, and balanced rocks. Take your time and visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Monument Valley, the city of Moab, and of course, the Grand Canyon.

3. The Great Lakes Seaway Trail

Upstate NY, PA

Hugging the Great Lakes for more than 500 miles between Erie, PA, and St. Lawrence County, NY, the drive up to Niagara Falls will dazzle. If your kids like lighthouses, there are 29 to choose from along the way, with plenty of shipwrecks to boot.

4. Centennial Scenic Byway

Winding through the river valleys of the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming, this route crosses the Continental Divide between Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Stop by the National Elk Refuge in Jackson Hole for a chance to see wildlife like elk, moose, and mountain goats.
