Francie Alexander


Francie Alexander is Scholastic’s Chief Academic Officer.  Francie oversees Scholastic’s research and validation efforts, ensuring that the company’s educational products and programs are effective.

She also serves as a spokesperson on educational issues such as literacy and parenting.  She has been a guest on NBC’s TODAY, has written columns for the New York Post, and was “The Book Nanny” for Los Angeles Family Magazine.  In addition, Francie has authored more than 40 Scholastic titles including Dots! Dots! Dots! At the Museum and How Does Your Salad Grow?  Francie’s work is grounded in the classroom, and she has taught students from kindergarten to college.
