Rajas's Environmental Tips

Kid Council member Rajas shares three tips to help protect the environment!

By scholastickids

Everyone should invest in the environment. We live in a time when the environment is in danger, and we need a healthy environment in order to survive, so we must protect it. We must do this now otherwise future generations will not live with the beautiful Earth as we know it!

First, we should focus on global warming. There is a chance that the ice sheets covering Antarctica will turn into water. This could cause water levels to rise, flooding cities. To stop this from happening, we should reduce the use of fossil fuels. Instead of using gasoline made from fossil fuels to power your car every day, we should all use electric cars which are refueled by recharging!

Next, we should reduce air pollution! Conserving energy can help reduce air pollution. One way to do this is to use energy efficient items such as light bulbs, and even windows! We can also support factories that reduce smoke, because factories can be a large cause of air pollution.

We also need to prevent deforestation. It is said that in time, the Amazon rainforest could become a desert. This would really affect air quality, as the Amazon rainforest is the biggest oxygen contributor. To make sure deforestation doesn’t affect our environment too much, we should create fewer items out of wood. Mechanical pencils could replace wooden ones. Wooden cabins could also be replaced by brick or clay houses.

These are just three things to protect our environment, but maybe, bit by bit, we can protect our environment forever. I hope that this has inspired you to protect our Earth because we are the only ones who can!
