I love to illustrate, creating new characters and worlds for them to inhabit.

After graduating art school I started working in an animation studio producing work for clients like Disney, Nelvana and Warner Bros. After the studio closed I decided to pursue a freelance career, which I”ve been doing happily since 2001. It”s great; I get to work with a bunch of interesting clients and also I get to wear my favorite pajamas all day if I want to.

Since then I have worked with clients on a wide variety of projects providing a range of illustration, character design and animation services. My work has been used for publishing, both in magazine editorials and children's books, as well as for advertising and on product merchandise. My self generated projects include limited edition products featuring my designs, and collectable toys. My paintings and art have been exhibited around the world, including the United States, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
I was born in the Netherlands, but grew up in New Zealand, where I spent a lot of time drawing, playing with Lego, and watching classic 80's Saturday morning cartoons. I currently live in Melbourne with my lovely wife Sylvia and our invisible pet beagle.
