Conrad J. Storad

Conrad J. Storad grew up in Barberton, Ohio. He didn't see his first armadillo up close until 1982, when he drove across Texas on his way to begin graduate school at Arizona State University.

The award-winning creator of 50-plus science and nature books for children and young adults, Conrad J. Storad holds an undergraduate degree in mass media communication from the University of Akron and a master's degree in mass communication/science journalism from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. He expertly draws readers into his entertaining tales and helps students understand and appreciate the natural world. Storad resides in Tempe, Arizona with his wife, Laurie.
