Chris Ganci

Chris Ganci has started the Peter J. Ganci, Jr. Memorial Foundation, which gives physical and emotional support to the families of firefighters. He is also the author of Chief: The Life of Peter J. Ganci, A New York Firefighter, a lovingly crafted and inspirational book honoring his father, the highest-ranking firefighter to lose his life on September 11. (This book will be published by Scholastic in May 2003.)

Ganci graduated from Cornell University and plans to attend business school one day. He lives in North Massapequa, New York with his mother, a nurse, his older brother Pete, a firefighter, his younger sister Danielle, a speech pathologist, and their dog, Holly.
