Ben Hillman

Ben Hillman is an animator, filmmaker, and author/illustrator. He has illustrated a number of picture books, including The Pesky Toaster and The Devil Ate My Blintzes. His latest book, How Big Is It? is the first in the What's the Big Idea? series, which combines high-impact visuals with a big trim size to teach through juxtoposition.

His animation work can be seen in Spike Lee's movie, She Hate Me. He also created an independent musical short called Little Red Jiving Hood that has been screened in film festivals and won awards in the US, Europe and Asia.

He has won numerous awards for print and television commercials including the Art Directors Club, International Advertising Festival and Clio nominations. Clients include PBS, Pfizer, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, and the New Amsterdam Brewing Company.
