Senna Wales
Senna is the one that started it all. Quiet and reserved, shrouded in mystery, she was the one who dragged David, Christopher, April and Jalil with her to Everworld. But once in Everworld, she began to act smug, teasing the group with small clues about her place in the grand scheme, yet never saying her part outright. She is often referred to as "my witch" by Loki. She has the ability to cast spells on others, making them obey her every whim, or making them believe something that is false. Her recently revealed goal is to become the newest leader of Everworld; because she is the gateway between the old world and Everworld, she is able to bring over a modern army to assist in her takeover — and possible destruction — of the world.

David Levin
David was Senna's boyfriend - in the real world. In Everworld, he is the leader of the group. He was the one who said that all of them would return to the real world, or no one would return at all. Completely trusting of Senna and driven by his love for her - and the spells she has cast upon him - he follows her when no one else will and searches for her when no one else wants to. And this blind faith may eventually lead to their destruction.

Christopher Hitchcock
Senna's ex-beau, Christopher is always the first to crack a joke. He provides the humor in the sometimes bleak, often strange world they are in, although it is often very sarcastic and derogatory. However, his humor has another purpose as well: to help constrain and categorize a world that is often confusing to him. Even though he is a comedian, he is by no means a happy-go-lucky person. He despises Everworld, is very distrustful of Senna, and is sick of David acting like the macho man of the group. He would like nothing more than to go home and live a normal life again. And he is willing to do it with or without the others.

April O'Brien
April is the level-headed half sister of Senna. In the real world, she is much more outgoing than her sister - David says that you could spend ten minutes with her and feel as if you've known her all your life. Although she desperately wants to get back home, she rarely complains and tries to shed the best light on the situation as possible. She is possibly the most mature of the group, and gets annoyed with the others being at each other's throats during tense moments. She claims that it will hinder their progress of returning home.

Jalil Sherman
Jalil is the brains of the group. When the others wonder why something is happening or what something is, they usually turn to him. Sometimes, though, he will rationalize something aloud to drown out his own panic or fill a heavy silence, which leads to Christopher's opinion that he is a know-it-all. A firm believer that magic does not exist, he is determined to find a logical explanation as to why Everworld exists. His constant rationalizing is quite possibly a by-product of the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder he suffers from in the real world - he feels that if he can control and make sense of the world, he will be able to control and make sense of himself.

The Hetwan
The Hetwan were one of the earliest races the group stumbled upon. Insectlike in appearance, they stand about five to six feet high with thin bowed legs that end in pads and a pair of wings that make their shoulders seem broader than they really are. Their eyes are flat and similar to that of an insect. Their mouths are almost human and are ringed by three clawed mandibles that constantly move in search of food. They appear to be servants to Ka Anor, the god-eating god that has infiltrated Everworld. The Hetwan are calm creatures that show little fear, but they are not arrogant. Indeed, they seem to be rather unconcerned with the world around them.

The Trolls
The trolls are the dimwitted guards that "protect" Loki. They are about eight feet tall, with massive limbs and three fingers on each hand. Their heads are described as being like the head of a rhino, minus the horn - they are set low and are thrust forward, making it look like they have no head from behind. Their clothes consist of a simple tunic, heavy boots, and a thick belt with a sword and a knife. A rather strange quality of the trolls is that a wounded section of their body turns to stone, an example of this being when David stabbed a troll in the neck. They appear to have the intelligence of about a four-year-old, for they can be fooled very easily and cannot comprehend anything that is not told to them outright.

The Coo-Hatch
The Coo-Hatch have an unusual physique. They have a mosquito-like mouth that juts out three feet or so and ends in a sharp point. Their eyes sit right above their mouths and contain a blue iris surrounded in red. Their bodies are shaped like a letter C, with their backs curving outwards and back in from the head to the taloned feet, which are almost directly beneath the point of their mouths. About halfway down their back is a fin that is used primarily for balance. There are two sets of arms: a smaller pair right behind their eyes and a larger pair halfway down their body. Their standard dress is a dark gray one-piece suit. Another interesting characteristic of the Coo-Hatch is that they come in two versions: a larger one about the size of a human, and a smaller one with wings and the ability to create a sort of light. The Coo-Hatch are famous for their steel, which has the ability to slice through a slab of concrete in one stroke. To Christopher they seem like salesmen, which go around trying to convince the populace to trade for their steel.

The Dragons
As April stated, the dragons of Everworld defy all laws of nature. They are gigantic winged lizards that have the ability to breathe fire and fly, stirring up gale-force winds with their wings as they do. Being the main opponents of the knights, they often engage in battles with them. But these battles come about not from a desire for chivalry or honor, like the knights, but for gold - they are paid for their work. As a result, some have amassed mountains of treasure, the most notable of which is Nidhoggr, a dragon that lives beneath Hel's kingdom.

First appear in Everworld II: Land of Loss; their major appearence is in Everworld 3: Enter the Enchanted

The Eight-Legged Horses
As their name states, the eight-legged horses have eight legs. They appear to be normal horses from the knees up, but each leg forks into two separate ones at the knee, both of which have their own distinct hoof. Little else is known about these creatures, except that they appear to be the main form of transportation for the eunuchs.

First appear in Everworld IV: Realm of the Reaper

The Satyrs
The satyrs are half-human, half-goat creatures that inhabit the forests of Everworld. They have pointed, furry ears, no whites in their eyes, large, flat teeth, and beards. They are very fond of wine and chase after the nymphs in the forest for fun. A curious characteristic is that they do not die, even when they are chopped completely in half. In fact, their two halves can move about independently of each other, as in the case of Sandy, who was sliced in half by David and had to employ the help of his friends in retrieving his legs, which had gotten up and run away. In addition, they do not bleed, and their insides are more like a sketched outline than actual organs.

First appear in Everworld V: Discover the Destroyer

The Wood Nymphs
As suggested by their names, the wood nymphs live in the woods. They are about four feet tall, with bright green skin, sunflower-colored eyes, and dark green hair. Their skin also appears to glow and has a leaf like pattern on it. Despite their odd coloring, they are very beautiful creatures. They are extremely energetic and have the ability to move very quickly when necessary. In addition, their life spans are so long that they are nearly immortal, which is most likely the result of being a type of minor god. Their self-stated purpose in life is to "fall in love" with human males - they have no choice, as there are no male nymphs and other species are considered unsuitable. All of the wood nymphs serve Iris, the goddess of the rainbow.

First appear in Everworld V: Discover the Destroyer

The Leprechauns
The leprechauns of Everworld are basically the same as the leprechauns in the Old World - at least, on the outside. In terms of physique, they are short, with more human proportions than dwarves. They act cheerful and kind, dress in a typical leprechaun costume, and have an Irish accent. But in reality, they are very gruff and grumpy people. They serve some of the smaller jobs in Fairy Land, such as acting as the gatekeeper to the city.

First appear in Everworld V: Discover the Destroyer

The Fairies
The fairies share some characteristics with the wood nymphs. Like nymphs, they are about four feet tall and rather thin. They can move quickly when necessary, though not as quickly as the nymphs can. Unlike the fairies we know they do not have wings. Their typical attire is a leather tunic and a tight helmet, and their main weapons are arrows and swords. Different colored tunics signify different jobs within Fairy Land - for example, a fairy wearing a dark blue tunic is part of the "IRS" and goes around making notes on the various stands within the city, while a fairy in a black tunic is part of the police force.

First appear in Everworld V: Discover the Destroyer

Atlantis Horses
The Atlantis horses, as all Everworld creatures, are a great deal larger than their real world complements. Their coats are a pure, shining white, and they sport manes of spun gold and hooves made of bronze. They seem to be used solely in chariot tournaments in Roman Atlantis and are usually ridden by elves. Not much else is known.

First appear in Everworld X: Understand the Unknown

Merpeople
The merpeople of Roman Atlantis are creatures that are half-human, half-fish. Their fish half - which is from the waist down - is sleek, muscular, and can be colored blue, silver or light pink. Their human half, for both males and females, bears a striking resemblance to models in the real world. The men are perfectly toned and sport well-developed muscles, making them appear quite imposing, while the women are slender and have long, flowing hair of various colors. A strange characteristic of the merpeople is that they have the ability to walk on their fins in the areas of Atlantis not covered in water. They can also, should they choose, ride in chariots drawn by either giant sea horses, turtles, or dolphins.

Scylla
Scylla, according to legend, was once a gorgeous nymph that Neptune desired. Out of jealousy, Neptune's wife Amphitrite placed several herbs in her bath that transformed her into a hideous dog-like monster. She stands on twelve feet that bear a slight resemblance to dog's paws, and sports six dog heads resting on elongated necks. Her teeth are like daggers, and she constantly foams at the mouth. As for her fur, it is patchy, and the revealed skin is red and infected. Her dwelling is a cavern close by Roman Atlantis, where she lives off of any hapless men who wander her way.

First appears in Everworld X: Understand the Unknown

Fomorii Giants
The giants are gargantuan in size. They stand thirty to forty feet tall and are absolutely hideous Ð Lorg, the one the teens encountered, had no nose, no lips, rotting teeth that were much too large for its mouth, and eyes that were malformed and mismatched. Their hair is matted and greasy, their skin is infected and rotting, and their feet only have three toes; the other two almost appear to have been ripped off. They wear only pieced-together animal skins. Though they have been known to feed on humans, they are not truly malicious creatures, and instead defend Ireland from attackers. In some respects, they can even be likened to overgrown children.

The Vikings
Boisterous and rowdy, the Vikings are the ones who first take in the group. In one sense, they are like frat boys, always partying and having fun. In another sense, they are a group of trained warriors with a blood lust only rivaled by the Aztecs. But unlike the Aztecs, they are composed of many different races and creeds. Their primary god is Loki, the god of destruction.

First appear in Everworld I: Search for Senna

The Aztecs
The Aztecs are strong warriors that serve under the winged god Huitzilopoctli. They are divided into two main groups: the warriors and the civilians. The warriors are better fed and predominantly male. The civilians consist of the wives and children and are malnourished. Their lust for blood easily meets the Vikings', and even exceeds it during their sacrifices. After pampering their soon-to-be victims with a huge feast, they are led atop the pyramid. Once at the top of the pyramid, their hearts are cut out and given to Huitzilopoctli. The sacrifices seem to be done very ritualistically - they involve a separate priest, who never bathes and the warrior's dress in a ceremonial costume and guard the prisoners to their doom.

First appear in Everworld II: Land of Loss

The Knights
The knights are your classic chivalry men. Self-described as "creatures of myth and legend," their main pastimes seem to be slaying dragons, rescuing young girls, and feasting. Despite witnessing April taking out several trolls, they still believe that women should act "womanly" - no fighting, allowing themselves to be looked over and pampered. They are very brave and honor is placed very high on their list.

First appear in Everworld III: Enter the Enchanted

The Eunuchs
The eunuchs are walking contradictions - big, burly men with incredibly high-pitched voices. This comes about as a result of the castration they were forced to endure at a young age. Their main job is to guard "Her City" - Hel's harem - and they are not afraid to use force to carry out this task. The symbol of a eunuch, which in symbolized on their breastplates, is a bloody knife poised over two diamonds. Not much else is known beyond this.

Monsieur Jean-Claude LeMieux
LeMieux is an old man, slender and short, who serves as the mayor of Greek Atlantis. Looking at these facts, he would appear unremarkable and not worth mentioning - but, like the teens, he has traveled to Everworld from the real world. He was a spy for the Russians during the Cold War, and was trapped when his boat capsized on rough seas during an observation of an above-ground nuclear test. Somehow, when the blast occurred, he was sucked into Everworld, where the Greek Atlanteans took him prisoner. Over time, he brought a form of government to the city and rose to become its ruler. Unlike the teens, however, LeMieux is entirely in Everworld; he does not float back and forth between the two universes.

Etain
Etain is one of the prominent inhabitants of Everworld Ireland. She is the daughter of King Camulos, the king of Merlinshire, and a Druid of the Green. She is described as having red hair, blue eyes, and (according to Christopher) a very nice figure. While she first appears to be bubbly and slightly air-headed, she is really quite more intelligent than she lets on; not only is she a warrior, but she has enough medical knowledge to serve as a chief nurse. Over time Christopher begins to develop a crush on her, and she gladly returns his affections.

First appears in Everworld XI: Mystify the Magician

The Irish
Like many Everworld cultures, the Everworld Irish mirror the real world Irish. Unlike most Everworld cultures, however, they are much more technologically advanced. The comforts they have crafted for their homeland include electric lights, trash cans, cable cars, and some basic forms of personal hygiene. In addition, they are a great deal more civilized, having maintained peace for 209 years. For the time being, their homeland seems to be the ideal place to live within Everworld.

The Druids
The druids, according to superstition, are said to be malicious creatures; some claim that they have magical powers and even offer up human sacrifices on occasion. In reality, the druids are a peaceful race of half-elves. They are divided into five "orders," each concerned with a specific area: Greens deal with the earth, Blues with learning, Reds with political matters, Blacks with astronomy and the weather, and Yellows (who are the newest order) with technology. They are also very intelligent and come from all walks of life, ranging from grandmotherly types to extremely aloof types.

The Fiannans
Within Everworld Ireland, the Fiannans can be likened to the FBI in the real world. They are the personal army of the king and are often sent out to investigate dangerous matters. Their main mode of transportation is by horse; their main weapons are swords and lances. As a whole, they are basically fearless Ð being labeled as a coward is something they all strive to avoid, as it seems to be the ultimate insult one can deliver to them.

Keith
Our first encounter with Keith was when he worked at an independent copy store with Christopher. As it turns out, the store is a front for an anti-Semitic movement that Keith was heavily involved in. Because of this, he has a definite racist attitude and is a "wannabe-Nazi"...which, when coupled with a weapons obsession, is a deadly combination. He has since moved on, becoming involved in Senna's plan and being brought over to Everworld with a heavy load of artillery, making him the first Sennite to reach Everworld's soil.

First appears in Everworld VI: Fear the Fantastic

The Sennites
The Sennites are a "religion" led by Senna, and are the key part of her plan. They are a group of fifty to seventy-five people, all male, who have an immensely strong racist spirit. To them, Senna is their goddess, and they usually refer to her as "Great One." All of them are armed with guns and other modern weapons, which, when pitted against Everworld's feeble technology, inevitably come out on top. If any one group is most likely to rip Everworld apart at the seams, this is the one....

Loki
Loki is the most prominent of the gods in Everworld. In Norse mythology, he is said to be the god of trickery and destruction. He stands about ten feet tall, with long blonde hair and a thin, cruel face. David describes him as being handsome, but in the way a poisonous snake can be handsome. A vast aura of evil surrounds him, so powerful it can send mortals to their knees. Loki is also able to grow to immense proportions and shapeshift, and is prone to violent mood swings. Loki made a deal with Ka Anor that he would give him Senna once he retrieved her from the Old World, but he intended to double-cross him and keep Senna for himself. His driving purpose now is to recapture Senna and use her to escape to the Old World, thereby avoiding Ka Anor's wrath. But in doing so, he will unleash all of the ancient gods and creatures upon our own unsuspecting universe....

Fenrir
Fenrir is the first of Loki's monstrous offspring. Like many of the other creatures in Everworld, he is a defiance of the laws of nature - a wolf that is easily the size of an elephant. It was he who broke the barrier between here and Everworld and seized Senna. He appears to serve his father without question, obeying his every whim. Little else is known.

First appears in Everworld I: Search for Senna

The Midgard Serpent
Also known as Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent is the second of Loki's three children. It is gargantuan in size, radioactive green in color, and covered in a pattern of hollow yellow squares. Like its brother Fenrir, not much else is known about it beyond a physical description.

Hel
Hel is Loki's daughter, his third child, and is the ruler of Nifleheim, the Norse underworld. One half of her is a beautiful woman, perfectly formed, with long black hair and a blue-green eye. But her other half is that of a corpse, rotten and decaying, the ashen flesh eaten by vermin. She is a terrible sight for males to behold, for they will simultaneously want and loathe her, and her touch can produce ecstasy or agony, depending on whether it is dealt by her living or dead half. Like her father, she changes moods very quickly, going from loving to angry to smug in the span of a nanosecond. She also may become Ka Anor's latest addition to the growing number of gods he has eaten....

First appears in Everworld IV: Realm of the Reaper

Merlin
Merin is one of the most powerful figures in Everworld. On the outside he seems frail: thin and wrinkled, with scruffy blonde hair, a graying beard and moustache, and sunken blue eyes. But in reality, he is an incredibly powerful wizard. The demonstrations of his magic include bringing dead, half-eaten animals to life and raising the walls of a long-destroyed castle. He is the one who believes that if all the gods band together, they can fight off Ka Anor and save Everworld from destruction. But as Loki said, is Everworld already destroyed?

First appears in Everworld II: Land of Loss, but was featured prominently in Everworld III: Enter the Enchanted

Ka Anor
Next-to-nothing is known about Ka Anor, though his name has come up on numerous occasions. It is said that his body is made of millions of insects. Worshipped by the alien Hetwans, he is the one that is driving the gods from Everworld by consuming them. In the end, he is the one most likely to cause the Apocalypse of Everworld.

Huitzilopoctli
Nicknamed "Big H," Huitzilopoctli is the primary Aztec god - in Everworld, at least. Casting a shadow a half-mile long, he is shaped like a man and tinged bright blue, with horizontal yellow stripes running across his face and iridescent feathers sprouting from his head. In addition, he has the ability to sprout two monstrous wings. He carries two weapons: a smoking, disc-shaped mirror that can slice someone in half so neatly that they stay alive for several seconds afterwards, and a writhing snake that breathes fire and can devour his enemies. The single most terrifying thing about Huitzilopoctli, though, is that he lives on human hearts. In order to satisfy his hunger, the Aztecs perform routine human sacrifices, mostly of prisoners they have captured during war.

First appears in Everworld II: Land of Loss

Iris
In Greek mythology, Iris is the goddess of the rainbow, as well as some type of messenger. All of the wood nymphs in Everworld report to her. She has often "fired" the nymphs under her care because she has caught them with a mortal, but once she calms down, the nymphs are allowed to return. Nothing else is known about her.

>First mentioned in Everworld VIII: Brave the Betrayal;, appears in Everworld X: Understand the Unknown

Neptune
Neptune is the Roman god of the ocean. Like most gods, he stands approximately ten feet tall, with dark eyes and curly hair, and has a great many children: Cyclops, Otus, Ephialtes, Antaeus, Briareus, Neleus, Pelias, and Triton, to name a few. He always carries a trident with him, which serves as his main weapon, and is serviced by nymphs and merpeople. Being a water god, he has the ability to control the oceans and all life within them - for example, he can change the water so humans may breathe it and command sharks to kill those whom he dislikes. More often than not, he is found battling Poseidon, his Greek counterpart and main adversary. Neptune's most notable characteristic, however, is his severe insanity. Most gods are insane to a certain extent, but Neptune surpasses all these boundaries into the realm of the truly mentally unstable. He has been known to murder entertainers for small mistakes - and find the said murder hysterical. No one dares to defy him, lest they end up on the wrong end of his trident.

Brigid
Brigid is a Celtic triple goddess - a creator, preserver, and destroyer. She watches over fertility, childbirth, healing, poetry, and inspiration; she is also the daughter of the Daghdha, who was eaten by Ka Anor. According to David, she bears a strong resemblance to April: fairly young-looking, long dark red hair, and green eyes. Yet, she is very unlike the other gods and goddesses...for reasons not yet revealed, she has trapped herself between the real world and Everworld, hiding in the real world under the guise of a foreign maid and losing most of her powers. This dual existence she forced upon herself ties into Senna somehow - Brigid has the ability to see the future, and foresaw that Senna would open the gateway between the two worlds. She believes Senna to be an evil force that must be destroyed any way possible, but has made the mistake of entrusting David to be her destroyer. Brigid is also thought to be the keeper of the Great Scroll of the Gods, the "software" to Everworld that documents its laws and writes its very existence. Currently, David is the only one who knows of her whereabouts, but if that changes, it may lead to disaster....
