The Rising Voices Framework
Each title in this series was curated with the following five themes in mind:

Culturally Relevant Authentic Texts
Authentic texts - unlike contrived texts that are written to teach a skill - inspire students to reflect on how they feel about what they read. Books and instruction that are culturally relevant to students address both visible and invisible tenets of culture. The texts in these libraries expose learners to rich language that motivates them, captures their interest, and introduces them to the historical, social, and linguistic contexts they need to successfully navigate the world.
