Keep Kids Reading All Summer Long

Did you know that teachers typically spend between 4 to 6 weeks reteaching material students have forgotten over the summer? Scholastic is here to help make sure that doesn’t happen to you this year! We know how hard you work to keep students reading during the school year.

The Scholastic Summer Challenge is a free reading program dedicated to stopping the "Summer Slide" and encouraging kids to read more books this summer. Now in its 7th year, the Summer Challenge invites kids to log the minutes they spend reading as they Read for the World Record.

Kids can participate in weekly challenges, earn digital rewards, enter sweepstakes to win fabulous prizes, and more.
