Watcher Journals Rules of Magic Ravenswood

The basic Rule to using the magic is that you must perfectly combine the elements of imagination, will, and belief with creativity, the strength of the power stones, and friendship. To learn more about how these work together, read on.

Imagination:
Imagination is the ability to conjure up in your mind sights, scenes, sounds and smells so vividly that they seem real to you. A clear goal or purpose is crucial: without it, the magic might follow its own direction, with results ranging from funny to tragic.

Will:
In order to make the magic work, you must have a clear understanding of your will and the determination to carry it out. Without this rock-solid focus, the magic might not have enough power — and you might not be in control of the flow of magic that results.

Belief:
Unless you have total belief in the power of the magic and your ability to direct it, you will not be able to summon up the intense imagination and will needed to use the magic successfully.

Creativity:
Explore your talents and always be open to learn new things. Magic often expresses itself in new and different ways. Don't be afraid to try new things-and remember that mistakes can be learning tools.

Power Stones:
The same talents that give a power stone its shape also guides the use of magic. One's skill will always improve with practice. The most basic rule of using power stones is that the left side of your body receives the energy and the right side transmits it. The outcome of the magic is always guided by the stone-user's natural and unique abilities.

Power of Friendship:
Magic always works better and stronger when you have friends with you.
