Matthue Roth is the author of Losers and Never Mind the Goldbergs, published by Scholastic's PUSH imprint, as well as the books Yom Kippur a Go-Go and Candy in Action. Matthue is also a performance poet, presenting his own blend of hip-hop and storytelling. He's toured around the world performing spoken-word poetry, both on his own and with music groups.
He's also been filmed for HBO's Def Poetry Jam and MTV's Rock the Vote. He has taught and performed at Harvard, Yale, and Brown Universities, as well as many elementary, middle, and high schools all over the country.
During school and library appearances, Matthue talks about his life as a professional writer. He discusses the story writing process and how stories are turned into novels. Matthue can also talk to your students about ethnic and multicultural writing, drawing from his background as an Orthodox Jew as well as a member of several multicultural writing groups.
