Brandi Dougherty is the author of The New York Times best-selling picture book The Littlest Pilgrim as well as The Littlest Christmas Star.  She has written a title for the Poison Apple series, in addition to two middle grade novels for the school market, The Friendship Experiment and The Friendship Survival Guide.

Brandi will tailor her presentation to the age level of the students, but all presentations will include a reading from one or more of her books. Brandi's main goal is to inspire students to see their own creative talents and know that everyone has the ability to be a writer and storyteller. With younger audiences she will include an engaging, interactive activity. And with older audiences she will show a funny slide show, talk about her writing process (including her "big five" tips for being a writer), and end with a question and answer session.

Honorarium:
One presentation: $250 for local visit (San Francisco Bay Area)
Half-Day (2 presentations): $400 for local; $500 plus travel expenses for out of region/state
Full-Day (3-4 presentations): $600 for local; $700 plus travel expenses for out of region/state

Maximum number of presentations: 4
Suggested audience:
For picture books: grades pre-K-2
For middle grade novels: grades 3-7
