Small meteorites can be purchased for as little as five to ten dollars. Put together a collection of six or so different types of rocks, including a meteorite. Challenge your students to figure out which one is the meteorite. What are its characteristics? What will their process be? Have students work the process out on their own, with you providing at most a hint or two!
