Set Up and Prepare
Make sure students have access to a computer and printer. If they don't have a computer at home, you'll need to provide access in class. You may have students work with parents at home to find and print out a piece of artwork.
Directions
Have students use the internet to find pictures of their favorite artwork. Print out a small copy (around 3" X 3" or 4" X 4"), in color if possible. Cut out the picture and use the glue to attach a frame made from the popsicle sticks or paper.
Students can use the index cards to record the name of the artwork, the artist, and the date it was created. Post the framed artwork and accompanying cards to create a class museum. Have a class discussion about how pieces are alike or different. A guiding question might be, "Are there some pieces that are similar in style?"
Lesson Extensions
Rearrange your museum by placing the artwork in chronological order.
Take a trip to a local museum or historical society.
