Overview

Students learn how to outline a piece of expository reading material, such as an article. Then, they create an outline from their own research and use it to deliver a speech.

Objective

Students Will:

  1. Read and evaluate a piece of expository writing.
  2. Participate in a class discussion of the outlining process.
  3. Practice the process of outlining a piece of expository writing.
  4. Create an outline for the purpose of delivering a presentation.
