PARTNER PROJECT: Karana's Story
Students might work in pairs to conduct interviews. One student acts the role of Karana while the other is the host on a talk show. The interviewer might prepare a list of questions about Karana's experiences on the island. After reading over the questions, the student playing Karana should review the story to prepare for the interview. Have the rest of the class act as the audience for the talk show.
