Overview

Several of my former students work at McDonald's. Since there is a McDonald's just one block from our school, our students spend a lot of time there. I wanted to start preparing them for the world of part-time work by learning how to research companies, complete a job application, work with money and calculate different types of payment for work.

Objective

Students will:
  1. Complete a job application form correctly and legibly.
  2. Practice adding up cost of items ordered, receiving money and giving back correct change.
  3. Understand the benefits of different types of payment that workers receive and be able to calculate different methods of payment.
