Overview
Several of my former students work at McDonald's. Since there is a McDonald's just one block from our school, our students spend a lot of time there. I wanted to start preparing them for the world of part-time work by learning how to research companies, complete a job application, work with money and calculate different types of payment for work.
Objective
Students will:
- Complete a job application form correctly and legibly.
- Practice adding up cost of items ordered, receiving money and giving back correct change.
- Understand the benefits of different types of payment that workers receive and be able to calculate different methods of payment.
