SUGGESTED GROUPING:

  • Partners

Ask partners to talk about the friendship that Frog and Toad enjoyed together. Invite children to create their own book about Frog and Toad. Begin by having partners write sentences and draw pictures to make a book that describes:

  • a place that Frog and Toad visit together
  • a problem that happens at that place
  • how Frog and Toad use their friendship to solve the problem

Suggest that partners put one picture on each page and describe the picture with one or more sentences. Children can create a title and a cover for their book, then bind the pages together with yarn.
