Bio

Tonya Hegamin is the author of the picture book Most Loved in all the World as well as the novel Pemba's Song: A Ghost Story and M + O 4EVR. She holds a MFA in children's literature from The New School University.

Tonya knew she was going to be a writer when she was eight years old. On her journey to realize her dream, she was also a social worker, a vintage clothes vendor, a vegan soul food caterer, an educator, and the program director of a poetry retreat.

Tonya currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
