All her life Suzy Spafford has been doing what she loves drawing and laughing. Founder and creative energy behind Suzy's Zoo Studios, most teachers and parents know her best for her line of greeting cards since 1968. Suzy says her life's purpose is to make people happy, and to share the joy experienced when on remembers what it is like to be a child. This simple premise conceals the labor of love behind the 200-plus characters she has lovingly created over the 35-year history of her company. From their beginnings as vibrant greeting card illustrations, every character has evolved a personality, a history, and a story all their own. Some of their stories are told in the Tales From Duckport Reader series, intended for early readers. The joys and backyard adventures of Witzy and his friends are captured in the Little Suzy's Zoo board books for babies and toddlers.
