Susie Jenkins-Pearce has written and illustrated over 50 booksfor children. She is especially drawn to writing stories that inspireempowerment and bravery in very young children. As a former elementaryschool teacher, she frequently draws upon her classroom experiences whendeveloping a character's response to handling new and unfamiliarexperiences.
