Bio

Since childhood, Sophie Webb has loved drawing birds and mammals. She has studied and painted flammulated owls in New Mexico, mockingbirds in the Galapagos, bowerbirds in Australia, and shorebirds in Alaska. Her ornithological illustrations appear in A Guide to the Birds of Mexico and Northern Central America. She has traveled to the Antarctic three times and lives in Bolinas, California. This is her first book with Houghton Mifflin.
