Bio

Roderick Gordon grew up in London. Educated at Oundle School, he subsequently attended University College, London, where he was supposed to be studying biology but instead spent far too much time in the various student lounges with his future writing partner, Brian Williams. He went on to a career in private equity corporate finance in London, latterly with Investec Bank, until late 2001 when he was thrown out for excessive daydreaming. He counts a number of writers and poets among his ancestors, including R.D. Blackmore, Philip Doddridge, and Matthew Arnold, as well as--and not least of all--the two paleontologists and celebrated eccentrics William and Frank Buckland (which probably explains much). Having recently moved with his family from London to north Norfolk, he is frequently to be found on the motorways, commuting back and forth to his garret in Islington.  Tunnels, co-authored with Williams, is his first book.
