June A. English is a nonfiction writer with a special interest in ecology and military history. She is the co-author of Mission, Earth: Voyage to the Home Planet with astronaut Thomas D. Jones, and the author of The Scholastic Encyclopedia of Transportation and the forthcoming Scholastic Encyclopedia of the United States at War. June has a busy writing schedule, but finds the time to talk with children about writing, editing, and how books are made.
