Jimmy would love to be a professional golf player one day. He practices everyday and studies his favorite players.
When he's not busy playing golf, he plays tennis for the Trails Tennis Club. In his spare time he also likes to go swimming.
As a kid reporter, Jimmy hopes to learn about what makes people successful. He especially wants to report on golf events.
"I would make a great reporter for this sport because of my understanding of this difficult game," he said. "I know the rules and etiquette of the game and I know I would be a great reporter on tour."
Jimmy is in the fifth grade at Tomoka Elementary School in Daytona Beach, Florida. He has three older sisters.

What Makes My Community and State Special
By Jim Pitenis

My community is Daytona Beach, Florida. It’s the best in the world.
My state has beautiful oceans and open spaces for kids to play in. The weather in Florida is great! There's plenty of sunshine and lots of outdoor activities going on all the time. My family moved to Daytona Beach to get away from the cold winters.
I love to play golf. I have been playing golf since I was 3 years old. Now I am 10 years old, and I am very good at it. I have won a number of tournaments.
In Daytona, I can play golf everyday after school. The teaching pro that I train with is Donny Klem and he is the nicest coach. My other coach is Eurika, and she teaches me how to chip and putt. My sister also plays golf—a few times a week.
This is a great community. It is also a short drive from great places to visit—Universal Studios, Disney World and Sea World. All of these parks are fun for the whole family!
Why would you want to live anywhere else?
