Bio

Eliot Schrefer is the author of the international bestseller Glamorous Disasters and The New Kid, a Lambda Literary Award nominee. The School for Dangerous Girls is his first book for young adults.

The School for Dangerous Girls came about when Eliot was having lunch with a friend, David Levithan. "He is a great author who also happens to be an editor," says Eliot. "He said he had a killer title for a book, and wondered if I'd write it. So I did."

Eliot is a graduate of Harvard College. A contributor to The Huffington Post and a reviewer for USA Today, Eliot has been profiled in Newsweek, New York Magazine, the New York Post, Women's Wear Daily, and NPR's "Leonard Lopate Show." He was selected as one of the 2007 "Out 100," and as a fellow to the Sewanee Writers' Conference.

Eliot Schrefer lives in Manhattan. For more information about him, please visit http://www.eliotschrefer.com/
