Bio

Dan Greenburg has welcomed success as a humorist, novelist, journalist, screenwriter, playwright and children’s author. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and received his undergraduate BA at the University of Illinois. Greenburg continued at UCLA, where he received his M.A.

Among his successful novels, his best-selling titles include How to be a Jewish Mother, How to Make Yourself Miserable, Scoring, Love Kills, Execs, and How to Avoid Love and Marriage. His books are available internationally and have been translated into 19 different languages. In addition, his articles have appeared in many reputable magazines including The New Yorker, Esquire, The New York Times Book Review, The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Time, Life, Newsweek and more. Greenburg has appeared on most major television talk shows, including The Today Show, The Tonight Show, Larry King Live, Saturday Night Live and the Late Show with David Letterman.

His series have also been very successful.  His first series of children’s books, The Zach Files, was widely popular and was even converted into a television series on Fox.  His newest children’s series Maximum Boy, published by Scholastic, was first available in 2001.  The central character is the 11-year old superhero Max Silver.  It is a hilarious, tongue-in check series that looks at the less-than-normal life of a reluctant middle-school superhero.

Dan Greenburg currently resides in Westchester County, New York.
