Bio
Brandi Dougherty is the author of the New York Times best-selling picture book The Littlest Pilgrim and the middle grade novels The Valentine's Day Disaster, The Friendship Experiment, and Miss Fortune, one of the inaugural books in the spine-tingling Poison Apple series.
Born in Kalispell, Montana, Brandi started writing when she was in second grade, thanks in part to a teacher who made writing fun. A big reader in middle school, Brandi was especially fond of Beverly Cleary, Judy Blume, and Ann M. Martin's Baby-Sitters Club. Brandi studied English at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.
After spending more than eight years in New York City, Brandi now lives and writes in San Fransisco, California, with the help of Jerome, her 70-lb puppy.
