When my oldest was in kinder (she will be 31 in a few weeks), her teacher did something called "Warm Fuzzies". Each week a student was chosen to be honored. During circle time each day the teacher would record compliments about the student on chart paper. By the end of the week, every child had contributed something to the chart. It was then adorned with little "pom pom people" and sent home with the child. My daughter cherished this and it hung on her bedroom wall for a long time.
By the way, Brian I love this blog. I teach 5th grade in Northern NJ. My great-nephew is in your class.
