The biggest point is just what Alycia Z. stated they "just love seeing their children perform". I Annie was one of my first productions (with 3-5th grade) I have done many more since then and I have to say that crunch time is important and so is a bad tech rehearsal! It is so awesome that you are using the school day to get ready and I would say that your students are performing more core standards than you could teach each day! I love the fact that you have given the kids responsibilities!
I am now a high school teacher and hopefully I will be the director of "Annie!" next year. I am looking forward to the CHAOS, the acting, the learning, and the fun! Break a leg because if I do the math right you should be performing tonight or maybe it was earlier today? The arts not only teach so much to children, but allow them to internalize the lessons! You will love every minute (it will just take a day, or a week for it to sink in!) Keep up the great work!!!!!
