How lovely that you were able to pigeon-hole all parents into one of seven negative stereotypes. If this is indicative of your abilities as an educator, then I think that some remedial education and sensitivity training are in order. If this is indicative of the attitudes of all school teachers, then god help us.
This type of self indulgent, narcissistic effluent only furthers the "them versus us" mentality in our public education system. It's time that our public teachers accepted the reality that parents are equal partners in their children's education, not obstacles to overcome. Parents actually do have something worthy to contribute to the education of their own child. Let's not forget; we were there first as our child's teacher.
I am truly staggered by the condescending and self important tone that this article imparts. You have set back parent teacher relationships by a century. Shame on you. Your comments are racist, sexist, misandrous, partisan, narrow minded and ignorant. An apology is in order, and expected.
