Mr. Lim,
I am up late thinking about my class and my kiddos. I teach READ 180, a Scholastic reading intervention program to 9th and 10th graders. They are all serviced by special education. I found your Three Easy Strategies and realized that although connecting with kids has always been my goal, I have allowed frustration and challenges to negatively impact my teaching. Thank you for your insight and inspiration. I am ready for Monday!

Hi Jennifer,
I teach Read 180 (and now with System 44) too. Like you, I have a class that is 100% special education, so I can definitely understand when you talk about challenges. I'm constantly having to remind myself that these are the kids who need love the most.
Also, you might have seen this already, but if not then here is a link to a previous post that contains think-write-pair-share activities for workshops 1-9 in the the Stage C Rbook, along with some other activities. I also have powerpoints for all of the vocabulary target words. Feel free to email me at JLim@emuhsd.k12.ca.us if you're interested.
