I am a pre-service teacher and after reading this I am amazed! I find that these days it can be difficult to get kids excited about learning, especially history. I didn't go to public elementary school, but was homeschooled by my mom and we made many historical trips just like this one! It's so encouraging to see teachers doing this type of thing with such zeal.
