Johnny Lee's video was amazing! I am teaching at home. Do you have any advice for those that homeschool? I am teaching preschool to my son and other children in the community. I would love to involve them in this technology (and more of your ideas in the future).

Thanks!

Jen

Jen,
I agree that video is awesome. I thought it would be helpful in these tight budget times. My advice with your homeschooling setting is to get the students using the computers. Not just getting them on websites but doing research and sharing what they are learning. I will be doing a blog entry on Voicethread during the year. This is a great tool to check out and use with young and older students. You can also have them blog about what they learned about and post pictures. My students blog at the end of the day as a class. Having your children create movies is a powerful way to have them learn. My class just finished filming a class rules movie. As we learned our rules we filmed the right and wrong way and made it into a movie. This experience really helped make the content important for them. I am looking forward to hearing a lot more from you this year. I checked out your blog and it looks great!
Smiles,
Megan
