I can't tell you how many times I stand in front of the class and wonder if the students are really grasping what I am teaching them. Then I get the blank stares and I know I have to regroup and teach in a different way.

My students absolutely have fun during writing center rotations, which I am planning on having daily this year (starting this coming Monday) during the reading block, along with a reading rotation. I am thinking about putting together a variety of hands-on resources that revolve around different topics that can inspire my students to write. Honestly, I wish I would have thought of good writing rotations during the summer, but obviously it's too late now. :)
