Great idea. I keep trying to structure my math time in a similar way but can't seem to get the hang of it. I teach the same content to whole group and then differentiate after I assess where they are with that concept. At each 'center' each group will work on that concept at their level. Each center has color coded (for each group) folders or tubs with appropriately leveled work. Where I have trouble is with group behavior and trying to teach each group how to do that worksheet or play that game.It seems like all my time is spent explaining directions and monitoring that the voice level is a #1 and they are on task. My principle also asked that each center have a paper and pencil component to keep the kids accountable but I am not sure that is really necessary.
