After 25 + years of teaching, I still can feel drained at the end of a school year. My faculty in our PreK - 8 elementary school just received a thank you for teaching a family's four children for the last 14 years. It was a plate of home-made chocolate chip cookies for all of us to share. Just last night I watched the contestants on "The Voice" get a thank you gift for being contestants; they each received a new car! We teachers sometimes need to be reminded of the real, more important value of what we do. You can't put a dollar amount value on these things. A heartfelt thank you is always best! Your words remind me why I keep putting in 10 to 12 hour days, often six days a week (or more!) Your words of encouragement are deeply appreciated. Minnesota Grandmom
