I have found all of your resources very inspiring. However, I work in a charter school that has 2 hours for English and 2 hours for math everyday. Do you have any suggestions on how I could incorporate reading/writing workshops while still doing the required novels that our school is doing for common core. My assumption is that I would teach the novels during a small group while the other scholars read a book of their choice and work on the skill taught in a mini-lesson perhaps? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
