This post was just in time for me! I am a new teacher, this is my first year teaching. I am glad that I made it to Spring Break, they never tell you how taxing teaching can be, especially when I am constantly feeling like I am not doing a good enough job. I want to impress EVERYONE... my students, their parents, and my admin. When I make a mistake, I feel like I'm not good enough. So thank you for reminding me that I am teaching to make a difference and I am also learning as I go. Making learning fun and exciting for my students is another great reward! Not everyone will be happy with what I do as a teacher. But if I believe that I made the right choices, then I need to stick with that. If some are not happy, that's ok! I am also a newlywed trying to balance the busy life of pleasing everyone, including being a great wife. I am lucky that I have a supportive husband who stands by me and helps me along the way. (Even though I don't think that he fully understands how hard being a teacher really is!) He is pretty amazing! Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to do everything and that I can say no! Keep up the good work!
